It has been bizarre for an aging hipster to watch their popularity grow over the last several years. I want to know where, why, how and when you started loving them. Please feel free to embellish. It's cool. I didn't get them the first 7 parties I heard them...

Also, go listen to Andrew Jackson Jihad this exact second.

I got into them my freshman year at ETSU. Not sure why I started listening to them but I was happy I did.

I'm pretty surprised that I haven't heard of them. We're not off to a good start when you also use the word "hipster." :)

And one day we will die...

And our ashes will fly...

From the aeroplane over the sea...

But for now we are young...

Let us lay in the sun...

And count every beautiful thing we can see...

I was a huge fan of the Elephant 6 bands when I was in high school. Met Jeff Mangum and Robert Schneider. I'm kind of wondering where this sudden, growing interest in NMH is coming from. A friend of mine posted something about them on Facebook the other day, but it was some hip-hop remix of Aeroplane. Made me want to puke.

I don't understand how anyone can listen to NMH. I tried, I really did...
