Actually, 3 things stood out.

1: Tremendous closing speed
2: Good football instincts
3: Excellent FORM tackling

he's not gonna be able to knock people on there arse like that in the SEC all the time though. He'll have to wrap up

just figured it be alot harder..I've seen plenty of times us hit someone and them not go down and get an even bigger gain.

You're right, but the one thing I noticed was that not a single tackle he made allowed for that extra push forward for a yard or two that we gave up many times this year. When you have the closing speed this guy has, people get stood up or fall backwards which allows for Chavis' patented pursuit/gang tackling. Also, this kid is listed at 210. He'll be 220 after the summer and I can't remember ever having a safety that big. Last safety prospect we had coming in that big turned into a pretty good LB. Think his name was Wilson.

The kid don't care to put his hat in the ring that's for sure, agressive and talented, kid could be a superstar, but Volsguy12 is right, he won't be playing Juco ball next year he'll be playing with the big boys in the SEC and he will have to learn to wrap up. Can't just knock everybody on their a$$ in this league.

This guy can really lay the lumber. I didnt see much from him in coverage, but real good in run support and superior closing speed.

He looks like he hits like a tank. Man I feel sorry for the people trying to run past him.:good!:

I was very impressed with his video. I like his willingness to hit, thats is an underrated aspect of some players. He runs well and hits hard. But, I do agree that he hits a little bit too high sometimes in an attempt to "lay them out" and in the SEC he will have to hit a little lower and wrap up. But, that is easily taught. He does take great angles and close very quicly. Exciting prospect.

Must not be taught at UT though. I get sick of seeing the flying shoulder smash, hoping for an ESPN kill shot. For those of you that wrestled, I'll take just a plain, boring, double leg takedown any day. Come on Larry Slade, wrap up, and drive through your man.
