New AD and how it relates to the future of UT Basketball

I’ve been really excited over the new AD hire and how it can help us dig out of the hole we have been in for 20 years regarding the football program... but this is also really good news for the future of UT Basketball.

Think about it - Barnes will want to retire in 4-5 years most likely; and if things are working out well, this new AD will still be here.

He will be able to get us a top tier coach to replace Barnes - provided he has left the cupboard full... setting us up for more success.

In 4-5 years, I just hope we'll still have college sports supported by a free economy. But all the tea leaves say a play is being made, and "normal" is fading fast.
