I will try to provide the link below. The enormous pressure the fans and media are putting on this kid continues to amaze me. You could almost take this article as a threat.

Interesting spin. Don't go to UT or we will hate you forever and make your life in Arky unbearable?!? Sounds like my little sister when she was two years old. What better reason could he have for NOT going to Arky?

Even if Mustain stays he will have to play PERFECT ball for four years because they will never forget that he waivered with his loyalty. My guess is that Nutt will be gone in two years. It will take two years just to install the offense and I don't see it working in the SEC anyway ala Meyer. Mustain should just get on the Big Orange Express and leave the hogs behind. They would just trample the pearl anyway.

Poor sportsmanship.....IMO. Its funny, just yesterday I had good football conversations with a Bammer fan and a gator fan.....we talked about Tebow, National Championship possibilities, and SEC rings......but the one thing we never did was bash each other even though we didn't like the other team. Now I am not saying that I like either team but there is a level of respect you give other fans and that is what I believe in. To see this article makes me sick, Arkansas could have very well hit my poop list now. If you can't have a conversation about football, your team, their team, and it be civilized then you got alot to learn about being a fan of the sport and your team. Fan is short for Fanatic but don't get caught up in the BS. Notice that Florida, Miami-FL, Michigan, South Carolina, and Texas are all mentioned in his list of schools but ND and Tennessee are the ones they pick on.......How many SEC Championships do you have since 1992 Arkansas....that would be a big GOOSE EGG....we have two......and you say we used to be a football powerhouse......WHEN HAVE YOU EVER BEEN!!!!!! Before you start picking on the big dogs of college football you might want to look at yourselves first!!!!! :aggressive: :aggressive: :aggressive: :aggressive: :aggressive:

I have some distant relatives in Arky who are big time Razorbacks, and they are still mad about the fumble in 1998. They think they were robbed and UT is to blame. Also, they really believe that Mustain is the savior of Arky football and that his prior statement of intent to attend UofA is a binding contract with every Razorback fan. Given that, I can understand the content of the article but it probably did not need to be put in print.

They sound pretty worried.

I guess Mustain should let those sportswriters decide where he goes?

Well if we're using that guy who wrote that article's logic, Phil Fulmer should have stopped coaching because of all that crap with Alabama?

How many NFL qb's has Nutt coached? I'm guessing about 0. You can't count Matt Jones cause he's not a qb now. If you were a hot shot qb and you could go to UT, ND, South Carolina or Ark. and your goal was to play for a SEC and/or National Championship which of the 4 would that LEAST likely
happen with? Let's play recruiter for each school for a sec. UT- Come study under the man that has coached both Manning bros. and coached a QB that won a NC.
ND- Weis had Quinn in the hunt for the heisman.
SC- Spurrier will let you throw the ball all over the place and you will put up video game numbers.
ARK- Please stay home, please.

This move by that writer could backfire too. It cuold push him away. That writer doesn't know who the right choice for Mustain is. Only Mustain does.

Funny thing is, the writer will probably get death threats just for saying that Mustain should do what is best for him personally instead of saing that he should honor his prior commitment to Arky.

If he DID commit to UT I bet they run Ms. Campbell out of the state for starting this in the first place and hanging Nutt up for buying his coach for nothing.

Whether he panned out or not, I'd like to see him commit to us just for the sheer entertainment factor of thousands of screaming soo-wee's and watching Nutt's every move. Every mistake on offense would be met with boos and choice words. And any UT games would be non-stop comments as well.

It has really been fun to go to WalMart wearing orange lately. The fans here are livid. Some think that Fulmer must have done something dishonest for Mustain to reconsider his commit to Arkansas. The local favorite saying is that Orange should only be worn by prisoners in jail. I really hope Mustain is being protected from all this negativity. Wherever he chooses to go, his decision shouldn't be affected by this crap. I feel sorry for any kid living in the heart of this much intolerance and anger.

I don't see Mustain going to the hogs at this point. The hogs have everything to gain and he has everything to lose. He has no supporting cast to showcase his abilities and the program will basically be starting from scratch. The people they have now were recruited for an entirely different run style offense, and it could be real ugly offensively for the next couple or three years. Mustain does not need that blemish if he wants to go to the next level. Besides as ugly as it could be. The hogs could have a new coach and Mustain could find himself in the same situation that Leak is in now..only worse.

I really don't see him going to ND either. He will have to play behind Quinn and compete with the other two highly rated QB's going there. Plus all the cold and snow.

Spurrier got Smelley, Florida has Tebow. Alabama could use him but....hey they are Alabama.

Tennessee is the logical choice. OC is proven developer of NFL QB's whom he appears to trust. The biggest competition at TN is coming off an injury. The other just had a disasterous season. Tn is loaded at the skill positions which would complement him and of course playing before over 100,000 each home game with national exposure on TV each week is a plus...I don't see why he would want to go anyplace else.

Tball I respectfully disagree with your comments about not having a supporting casy for Mustaine. They might have the best depth at runningback in the conference with Hillis and the freshman ( I can't remember his name I think it's McFadden). They are thin at reciever but Monk is pretty good.

but, he will have to make more plays on his own...

if we goes to a established athletic school he can let the RB and recievers do their job without forcing anything.

I like how you cannot reply to the newspaper article unless you are from the state of Arkansas. What a bunch of homers.

If he wants to come to Knoxville then that is great, if he stays in Arky then best of luck. He is 18 years old and probably does nto need any of this crap from us or the Arky people. I regret bringing it up.
