Move if neeeded, but my neighbor claims to know an "insider". The insider told my neighbor that indeed we are going to get Gruden and that it will be and 8 year deal. However, what he said is very interesting and very different from what I had been hearing. He said that the assistants will not be raheem moris and someone else offensively. He said Jay Gruden will be the offensive coordinator and the defensive coordinator will actually be Gred Williams. For those of you who don't know that was the coordinator for the NO Saints when the whole bounty issue went down. Keep in mind this is just what I've been told and I'm not claiming it will happen. If it does however, could be very interesting.

Greg Williams? That would be a shock. Can't really believe that. Would be too controversial.

Jay Gruden's next stop will be as a head coach in the NFL. He is an up and coming coach with what he has done with Andy Dalton and the Bengal's offense.

If it is Greg Williams, I would be impressed. Greg is from just outside Kansas City and gives a lot back to his community and its high school. Really hated seeing him get caught up in that scandal, but he is a good person in our community in Kansas City.

Just a little know fact down here...Sean Payton actually took less in salary when he took the Saints HC job in order to get Greg Williams as DC. That's how bad he wanted him. Would be another SB ring wearer on staff.

I don't think Jay is coming, but I am intrigued by Greg Williams. I know he he made the Saints D to be one of the best in the NFL and it's going to be a long time until he gets back in (might have to take a change in the NFL commish to get him on a NFL team).

I'll have to research him more, but he would have the skills and motive to move down to the college ranks.

Can you imagine how scared opponent's QBs would be with Williams? even if they never were touched...

I can just picture them running around screaming like little girls...

Nope. If reinstated by NFL, he will be DC of the St. Louis Rams next year. Tight with HC Jeff Fisher.

Which makes sense, but with Goodell making him the poster child for Bounty Gate, it is no sure thing that he is allowed back in next year...

It won't be Jay.

I would say J. Bates or Fisch at the U. Also talks of different perspectives like Morris which I doubt, but another unique one like Mazzone which I also doubt. The talks of Hackett and Muir are absurd. I would put that at 5% or lower. Bates being the highest probability.

Are the boosters on board with this? Because they're the ones who will have to foot the bill for the bounties.

Shouldn't be a problem. Williams has cooperated fully with everything Goodell has asked of him. Spilled the beans on Bounty Gate. This topic comes up weekly on local sports talk radio. His son has been interim DC and has been doing rather well. Fans questions are if Fisher would consider keeping him and letting Greg go elswhere. Media says not likely due to Fisher's relationship with the elder Williams.
