Bruce Pearl's son Steven will walk-on with the Vols.

"I gave him two rules: Don't ever be late, and don't ever have me ask you to work harder,'' Bruce Pearl said Saturday.

"I'm satisfied he'll be able to do both.''

Steven Pearl averaged 21.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 26 regular season games at West. He shot 49 percent from the field.

I heard White is going the juco route and Brown is looking for a scholarship (will not walk on) I was wondering if Oklahoma might offer him since VCU was offering and their coach went to the Sooners?

Yeah, I know White is going to a prep school because he is a year ahead of his class and I figured Beau would go to a smaller school on a scholly.

Here's the story that scooped the News-Sentinel & all other media on Steven Pearl. KNS announced his signing today. See that this blog story was published this past week, on Monday, May 1, & was actually held for publication, as it was ready to be printed long before then:

This also means, of course, that we most likely have Bruce as OURS for the next 4 or 5 years for sure. That will squelch all the talk of him going elsewhere. He doesn't like moving around & he appears to be very happy & satisfied here in Big Orange Country. Recruiting will be tremendously helped by this.

I hope he turns out to be as good as Allan Houston. :biggrin2:

what star ranking does he have? Is he good? or is Pearl just letting him on the team just because he is his son?

he has small school D1 offers, he is a walkon. Pearl said he is as good as a practice player right now and maybe down the road could get some playing time. He's about as good as every other walk on. Can't blame Pearl though, he's not going to cut his son
