So what did everyone think about the new Bristol?

Long green flag runs, two racing grooves, less cautions and wrecks, and everyone played nice.

I for one hated it. Not the same race. Nascar has once again ruined a classic race by tampering with the winning formula.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant wait for football so i can watch a sport where they powers that be tell me up front that they are idiots.

I think they screwed it up too. Im really nervous now about Darlington. Thats the race we go to every year and they are repaving that one too. Hope they dont ruin it!!!

I hate it, but saying that the drivers loved it and it may have been good if ESPNs coverage didn't completely stink last night.

I liked it. I missed all the wrecks, but the drivers have said each time they pave Bristol it eventually goes back to the way it was. ESPN Coverage was awful as always.

ESPN always has awful coverage, but I though last night was exceptionally worse. I though it was absolutely awful.

It's not that it was a bad race, it just isn't Bristol. Now it's just another race, and I hate to see the final race of the season turn into just another race.

That's exactly what I was thinking. But I guess I'll have to adjust. I mean, I thought the same thing about the chase 3 years ago, but once I adjust I guess I'll begin to like it again.

as stated earlier in another thread, you people have absolutely lost your minds.

the new surface is amazing and i was blown away with it.

the reason there was no bump and run (where was the one you all are talking about in the sring too) was because Edwards was just that much better than everybody else. where was the bump and run in last years fall race that you all claim Bristol is known for?

not a single article or announcer that i have read or heard talk has had anything bad to say about the track, and the drivers love it too.

It's just going to take some getting used to I guess. That and ESPN showing something other than the top 3.

i'm sorry the race coverage sucked. that's a real shame. there was a TON of 3 wide racing in the back of the pack. shoot, i thought it was Talladega for a second the way they were all lined up.

and the fact they blew on the Busch race sucks too because the last few laps of it were as equally awesome.

Yeah, the racing was probably better but after everyone gets used to it they'll accept. People hated Lowes after they levigated it but now they've grown used to the racing. And you need to watch a replay of the race tomorrow. Then you would realize what we're talking about. I mean they didn't even show a replay of the wrecks. I know they were Ragan with transmission problems causing him to spin out, but geez, is a replay too much to ask

thought it was great. i've always injoyed bristol but it has always had way too many cautions laps. we got to see some sure nuff side by side racing the hole night. as for bump and runs there were plenty of chances for drivers to punt someone out of the way but everyone acted like they were real careful with the front spoiler. great race.

I LOVED the Bristol race. Maybe you had to be there to enjoy it, I don't know. I taped the race and watched it on Sunday and I can understand how some people didn't like it. I blame ESPN for that.

I loved watching some racing instead of all the wrecking. 3 wide at bristol.....who would have thought that would ever happen? I can't wait to go back in the spring!
