What impact would Dooley getting fired and a big name "home run" caliber coach getting hired have on your holidays?

For me, it would make a difference. Sadly, I love the Vols that much. As people all over the world gather to celebrate the birth or our risen savior, I can only think Christmas and New Years would be an even happier time with a new head football coach at the University of Tennessee. Jesus is enough. But a great new hire would nice.

By the way, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Maybe we can be thankful for a robust coaching search and the eminent departure of Dooley. Again, I think he is a swell guy...but he has to go.

I won't think so highly of him if he takes another 5 million from our University. He didn't earn it. If he makes Tennessee pay him...he will slide down the scale from "well intentioned but unprepared nice guy" to "Kiffin".

1. Dooley is not in the same pit as Kiffin.
2. I might have planned a trip during the holidays around a bowl game (might). That won't be a concern now.
3. Who the next head coach might be will have exactly zero impact on my holiday season.

Hey Everyone - Do we envision this going on forever (i.e. D Coordinator hire last year) or do we think there will be a move in the next couple weeks? Sooo looking forward to having some reason to be optimistic!

In my house, as in many others IMHO, the biggest impact this will have is how much of my holiday budget will/will not be directed toward merchandise supporting my beloved VOLS.
