Looks like a lot of changes happening. At this point I think Kansas has to feel great. You hire Les Miles and he also hired arguably the biggest name at OC (so far) in Chip Lindsey. Not to mention he landed the #3 ranked JuCo QB Thomas MacVittie.

Meh, I'll wait to see what happens on the field. Last offseason we were saying how whoever landed Chip Kelly was getting an elite coach. Kansas should feel great bc it's kansas and they actually have a decent coaching staff being put together for a change.

My thoughts, this being Kansas...might be their best HC hire ever. I also think it's a good fit for Les, how well he can recruit there is the big question.

I think he will do well. Les is a good dude and players seem to enjoy playing for him.

Les is genuine and a players coach. I wish him luck. But, it is still Kansas. I am not expecting championships.

The thing about Les has never really been recruiting. Of course, he coached a lot of his career at a place (LSU) where you simply walk off campus and there are 4 and 5 stars everywhere who want to play there. His downfall at LSU was an inability to develop a QB. It really was just that simple. I expect him to attract more talented guys, relatively speaking, there purely based on name recognition. Purely by improving the talent level, he could have them in a bowl game within a couple years.

It's a good sign for Kansas that Les has already hired a competent, modern offensive mind and will presumably let him run the offense. I doubt Lindsey goes there if he thinks Les is going to handcuff him. He just tried to get out of that situation at Auburn.

I'm not sure Les was even the best new hire in Kansas....I think K-State made a great hire!
