Dooley's staff had recruited this kid. He has some bulking up in his future, but a 6'4 225 kid who runs a 4.5-4.6 sounds enticing.

No way. he is a 3* formerly committed to Cincy.... no way he's any good. <sarcasm>

The fact that dooley was recruiting him will only make people feel worse

Wouldn't it be great if we could flip a bunch of Cincinnati recruits?

It would be awesome. Just think of the recruiting money we would save.

For those with a defective sarcasm meter, I was being sarcastic. Looks like a nice commitment in a position of need.

According to Rivals, Nebraska and Mizzou offered as well... 4.52/40 is quite speedy for a tight end his size. Ive liked this kid since he's been on the radar. And for you folks who are down on 3* players.....get over it. It is all about coaching and maximizing players...Look at the top 25 schools who are winning bowl games with 3* recruits, namely Northwestern and Cincinnati.

there is only 1 five star and 8 four star tight ends.. he's ranked 29 nationally for tight ends according to rivals....not many opportunities to get the four or five stars at that position.

It's not the *'s. It's poaching recruits from vandy and cincinnati.

I dont expect much from a 1st year guy a month on the job who has no name recognition, but people need to get real.

By and large, this wont cut it. They need to win recruiting battles for recruits that are being offered by the bigger fish in the sea

This. You can't build your program around diamonds in the rough long term.

kinda hard to do this time of year when you have no previous relationship with those players.
