JUCO player Alberta Auguste is a 5'11 guard that averages 23.5 points a game and 4.8 steals a game. She leads her team in assists and is also averaging 8 rebounds.

Auguste is the reason that Summitt was in Florida the same time our men played UF. This is first time that Summitt has picked up a JUCO player in 29 years. So Auguste must be pretty special and we must pretty desperate for productive guards.

Well she already has a another guard signed from like maryville HS so as of right now the lady vols will have 4 guards next year Hornbuckle, girl from MHS, and Auguste, and Moss

The Maryville girl probably won't play much as a freshman though.

Yes they are short on guards thank to Gatewood leaving. Specifically short-handed on quick guards. So, that was what Summitt was addressing with this player. But, there is a reason she went JUCO with this scholly. A JUCO will only occupy a scholly for two seasons. And, the 2008 (HS sophomores) girls basketball class is LOADED. She wants to have as many schollys available as possible for that class. Will probably sign another monster class in 2008.

Cait goes to Heritage, Maryville is actually our county rival..And i do believe she will play plenty her freshman year.
