With that kind of size, I'm assuming he's a safety?

DB, Safety, CB.....I don't care what he is as long as receivers like Rice and Bennett aren't jumping over him to make the catch.

We've had good success bringing in Junior College DBs. Hopefully that trend will continue.

I had read that yesterday and noticed he will not grad until June. He sounds like a solid commit and should be able to contribute early, But is June to late for him to toss his hat into the mix? I realize he should be physically ready the day he steps on campus and will have 3 years left as a VOL.

Garrett said he hopes to enroll at UT in May. Until then, Garrett said UT secondary coach Larry Slade will help him learn the defensive system while he finishes school in California.

"I'm going to pick it up fast," he said. "I know I can help them real well on the run stopping. I've got great cover skills, too."
