I believe not coming in for fuel was worst call of year. I understand # 48 but # 5 had nothing to gain and everything to lose. Bet Martin is pissed as he should be.:furious3:

The 48 should have stopped too. They didn't learn much from the June race apparently.

Wouldn't a green flag stop that late have put him right down at the bottom of the cars on the lead lap anyhow? Might as well chance it and finish 31st then pit and guarantee yourself no better than that, right?

Dumb move for Gufstason. I can't believe with Mark competing for the Chase that he would leave him out there. Mark did win doing the same thing in June at the same track. Pemberton did the same equally stupid move for Vickers', but his move paid off with a win. Still though, if he would have brought Mark in Martin would have rallied for a top 15 or a top 10.

There ain't gonna be no firing of the crew chief who has the most wins so far this year.

Actually the 48 should have gambled like he did, he is virtually locked into the chase, so now all the 48 team (as well as the 14 and 24) are doing is racing for wins to get the 10 bonus points for when the chase starts.

For the guys who are alread a lock for the chase a 2nd place finish is the same as a 43rd place finish.

That's a good point.
