Lets say we get Gruden. For much of his career, his teams employed a 4-3 Defense. Based on current personal, the future would look very bright.

Base
DE - Sentimore
DT - McCullers / Phillps
DT - Couch / Hood
DE - Marlon Walls / Corey Miller

LB - Johnson
LB - Maggitt
LB - Smith /

CB - Coleman / Bonner
S - Brewer / McNeil
S - Moore / Randolph
CB - Gordon / Gray

Nickel
DE - Jordan Williams
DT - Sentimore
DT - Marlon Walls / Corey Miller
DE - Smith

LB - Johnson
LB - Maggitt

NB - Brewer

CB - Coleman / Bonner
S - Randolph
S - Moore / McNeil
CB - Gordon / Gray

I know it is way out but I could see Gruden having a great first year. Plus, I believe that if Gruden is hired, Bray, Patterson, and Hunter would return to improve draft stock. That with great line could do some damage.

Just my two cents.

Looks accurate, EXCEPT there is not a snowball's chance in hell that Moore starts over Randolph. It will be Randolph and McNeil at safety... Finally we will look like an SEC team back there.

Also, this. With a backfield of Gray, Coleman, McNeil, and Randolph we are going to have some serious speed and athleticism back there.

Gruden is not coming to Tennessee. He'd be insane to. Need to move on.

No, he wouldn't and no we don't. It would be a challenge, sure but he doesn't seem like a guy who would shy away from a challenge. We stand at least a decent chance of getting him.

It'd also be a challenge to take over the Philadelphia Eagles. He'd be paid more there and it'd be an NFL job, where he's more familiar.

I would be stunned if it was reported that Gruden was even considering taking the Tennessee job. To him, head coach at Tennessee is probably just an interesting idea with some nostalgic feelings but nothing more.

Regardless of who is coaching, Brewer is not going to be the 5th DB in nickel coverage. He's too slow and doesn't do that well in pass coverage. He's more of the heavy hitter type of safety. If he's in our nickel defense, he's going in one of the linebacker spots or safety.

This is getting silly. You have NO CHANCE. Gruden would have to take a 50% cut in pay from his MNFB deal and wouldn't make half of what he would make IF he ever gets another NFL deal. But that brings up an even bigger question, Gruden has been out of coaching for 7 years and there has been several NFL coaches hired since then and JG hasn't even been considered for any of those jobs, why? Announcing MNF is the graveyard of jobs that coaches and players take when there's nothing left for them in the league.
