Wow. They literally changed the story from the time that I copied the web address and pasted it into this post. Now his attorney is paying his $20K debt for him. The original story, before the changes, stated that a felony arrest warrant had been issued (it has now been changed to say that the DA is seeking a felony arrest warrant), so I would guess that this puts him in hot water with Goodell regardless of whether his attorney chooses to cover his bad debt or not.
