New coach is Johnny Jones. Personally I liked their last coach, seemed like a good guy and iirc they did quite well in the sec a few years ago in his first year.

South Carolina and Mississippi State both made unexpected hires. LSU made the least exciting hire possible, but it's not a completely strange decision like Mississippi State's. Jones is a good recruiter.

Seems like a solid chance. Should be a decent recruiter. Not going to lie though, not too familar with North Texas but seen where he's led them to a few 20 plus win seasons.
