Just heard on ESPN Radio that Mike Locksley punched an assistant coach. The school is looking into the situation and will either suspend him or fire him if true.

What's up with all these coaches punching assistants lately? Must be a lot of stress going around.

First of all for a assistant coach to call the police over a busted lip is lame in my book. Toughen up, it's football. Second, when their is smoke their is usually fire and in this case I think Locksley was a bad hire for UNM. He was also accused of Sexual Harassment within his first month on job. Rocky Long left the Lobo's in much worse shape than he found them and it's gonna be one tough job to turn them around. On the other hand I'm glad someone else in the conference is sitting in the basement of the MWC instead of us :)

It's not about being "tough" or not. Grown men shouldn't be assaulting each other. We don't live in a primitive tribal society any more.

The game of football could be considered "primitive" in the manner your speaking. The game of football is about aggression, god forbid a coach might show some every now and then.

Let's just hope Locksley doesn't end up on Tom Cable's staff :p
