It's starting to look like we may get the new OC that we want after the season. Unless Clausen or Ainge look like the second coming of Peyton Manning the rest of the year then I think he is gone. Who would you folks like to see as OC?

One person came to my mind that might be a good choice.
Mike Martz from St. Louis, I heard on the NFL Today that he probably won't be retained ater the season. He is having some health issues and is taking the rest of the season off.
I don't think he is a great gameday coach. But his offenses always seem to be one of the best in the NFL. It's would probably be a long shot because I'd say he would probably stay in the NFL as a coordinator or head coach somewhere else. If he came to the college ranks he'd probably want to be a head coach. Just a thought.

My vote is Chris Hatcher. Hatcher is the head coach at Valdosta State. He has a 65-8 record in Division II and leads all active coaches with that winning percentage. In 94 he won the HarlonHill trophy given to the best athlete in Division II.

He coached with Mumme at UK, and could be the next diamond in the rough. I think he is the perfect choice.

I don't know Lex, I'm a little tired of Tennessee hiring coaches from lesser schools in the D1. I don't think I could deal with a D2 coach. I guess I would have to if that's the choice they made.

I think it may be the best chance for CPF to bring in new blood, and a more dangerous offense. Maybe we should go after Texas Techs OC. Either way it is the same proven system.

I agree Lexvol the Mumme era was exciting football at Kentucky and Dusty would have been an awesome QB in the SEC if he would have stayed. Hatcher would probably be a good fit if the playbooks changed at Tn.

And... he is a proven QB. Perhaps he could turn one of these kids into a ballplayer.
