New PG transfer? (rumor)

I mentioned that the basketball program could pick up a quality point guard transfer, depending upon some factors coming together. As of right now he is set to enroll on Monday as a walk-on (as he must due to NCAA transfer rules) and he will be available to play at the beginning of next season. He wanted to sign out of high school here, and Pearl didn't take. He is, above everything else, a defensive stopper and late game finisher on the point with major conference experience, and a great kid.

Found it interesting considering our need for a true 1.

If it indeed it Stanton, I fail to see how he fits the description of late game finisher and defensive stopper given his very limited playing time at Clemson. Oh well, we will see.
