It's still a few weeks shy of Christmas, but Phillip Fulmer got a big present a little early on Tuesday night when Rivals.com Top-100 prospect Gerald Jones gave the Vols' head coach a verbal commitment. Jones, from Oklahoma City, is one of the top overall athletes in the Class of 2007, and a tremendous boost to a recruiting class that appears to be gaining some momentum.
Ht: 6-foot-0
Wt: 185 lbs
Forty: 4.47 secs
Bench max: 285 pounds
Squat max: 500 pounds
Vertical: 38 inches

He is going to play wide reciever at Tennessee. Rivals.com rates Jones as a four-star prospect, the No. 5 athlete in the nation and the No. 91 overall player in the Class of 2007.

I hate to say it but you must be 6'3 or more to be dominate in the SEC at receiver.

Jonathan Wade 6'0
Lucas Taylor 6'1

Donte Stallworth- 6'
Peerless Price- 5'11"

Size isn't that big of a deal. It's strength, quickness, toughness, play-making ability, etc. It doesn't matter how tall you are. Of course, it doesn't hurt things if you're 6'6", but it's not a huge factor.
