Renderings always look much much better than the final product. That being said it should still look really good when finished, if they stick with the rendering. Has any detailed info been released? Will it effect seating capacity?

I don't think the University is very serious about this plan, the city has been pushing a project that renovates the surrounding areas in addition to Rupp and UK seems less interested in downtown development that isn't related to basketball - understandably.

That said the renderings look cool, the big brown box is pretty dull.

Nice. The outside jumbotrons are cool. They do that at Tampa's arena for hockey games...but the temp in the winter is a bit different than in Lexington.

I wonder if they'll keep the buildings connected. That's pretty neat.

I understood the article to say that seating capacity would remain unchanged, but some of the seats would be wider, and there would be more leg room.
