Did anyone else hear that they are removing the turf in Neyland Stadium for next year? They are replacing it with Cardboard! ( We look better on paper).

Oh well, there is another year next year. It sure is going to be a long time until Cal next year!!!

If we do loose to Cal then you are to blame.

Chavis is already thinking about Nathan Longshore, Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett.

Cal lost 4 out of their last 6 in the Pac10!

If the Vols lose to Cal in the first game, fire Phil Fulmer on the spot. But I don't believe it will happen. Hell will freeze over before the Vols lose to Cal.

I'm with him. At least one of us has stayed sane around here.

That is without Nathan Longshore at quarterback. I do not expect to see a Cal win but I do expect a really good game.

Jeff Tedford is eventually going to be a pro coach. He might have his shot with a bunch of NFL jobs opening up this year.
If not, look out. We saw what a pro coach, like Charlie Weis, can do to high school coaches, Randy Sanders and ole Phil, with time to prepare.

It should be a good game. Depending on how the DB's develop, Fulmer could have his hands full on defense. Cal has a big strong o-line that should be able to handle the Vols inexperienced D-line and keep pressure off of Longshore and Lynch.

LSU had a pretty good defense this season and still didn't do a very good job of stopping ASU. And it's not like the Sun Devils were the greatest in the Pac-10 this season.

As for the matter of the Vols scoring points, a big, veteran O-line next season coupled with the return of Cutcliffe and the emergence of Tennessee's young runningbacks, the offense should easily challenge Cal's D.

Should be a battle.
