The networks were confident about Ohio State getting in (they said 90% chance), but I don't see it.

1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. TCU
4. USC
5. Ohio State
6. Alabama
7. Tennessee

Ohio State needs USC or TCU to lose to get in.

For the record, I think Ohio State, Bama, and us are all better than USC and TCU, but that's how I think the CFP rankings will shake out.

On the SEC after game show, Chris Doering had Tennessee at #5 ( surprising for an old Gator). Bama at #6 and OSU at #7. One analyst had Georgia at #2 and Michigan #1. Reasoning was to get an SEC matchup for the Natty. Either Bama or us slipping in after conference championships.
Personally, don't see any way that's happening.

With our secondary and overall defense, USC and TCU would kill us. We're having a superb season, but let's be real about who and what we are. I'm just excited to see our name in the top 10 and maybe we draw a team in the orange bowl that won't have a qb that can filet us.

I don’t think they put a 1 loss non conference champion above USC who finished the season beating ranked UCLA and Notre Dame.

Assuming this plays out…
1. Georgia (undefeated SEC Conference Champ)
2. Michigan (undefeated Big 10 Conference Champ)
3. TCU (undefeated Big 12 Conference Champ)
4. USC (1 loss PAC 12 Conference Champ)

ACC conference champ is out.

You think a 1 loss TN with no conference championship would get inserted into the CFP as a 2nd SEC team?

Maybe I am just a pessimist or had little faith in the CFP committee.

Tennessee football’s playoff chances hurt by Saturday’s slate despite Oregon loss

Top 5

1. UGA
2. Mich
3. TCU
4. USC
5. OSU
6. TN
7. Bama

The committee gonna be praying for a USC/TCU loss, get a two SEC vs two Big Ten teams ratings dream.

I put us above Bama because of head to head, and if some media are saying our SC loss was a fluke then that gives the committee a reason to put us in place to slip right in.
