Something very discordant about the phraseology of title of thread. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I guess its the notion of a claim running rampant. Seems .... odd.

sort of like when the current administration and its media allies say that unemployment claims rose "unexpectedly"

or when the current administration (if you can even call it that) brags that they have just 'created' 2 million new jobs.

This would be a depression economy all over the media if a republican was in office.

In the worst year of the depression (1934 I think),
real estate prices fell 31%, they fell 33% in the
previous year.

If you examine Obama's economic policies you will
find he is very close to Herbert Hoover, especially
with his excessive regulations.

Obama will go down in history as the 'food stamp
president', since he has added 12 million to the
food stamp rolls in the short time he has been
president.

Real estate was the one asset class that held up well during the Great Depression because back then, you had to put 50% down and mortgages were only for 5 years

to be fair, there are sites where anyone can create their own motivational-type posters, and if the person is grammatically challenged, hilarity can ensue

Nah, I'm more of a scatter plot and pie chart guy than a bar graph guy.

have been added to the food stamp rolls.

Oddly, the way the government accounts for it's
spending, food stamps are counted as farm subsidies.

"Farming is easy if your plow is a pencil and you are
a thousand miles from the nearest corn field."
Dwight D Eisenhower.
