It doesnt matter about your size, just about how much heart & dedication for the game, look @ Spud Webb reaching a height of 5'7 and in the NBA
That's what every midget says (not calling you a midget, just sayin'). Don't kid yourself; size matters A LOT. It's not everything, but it's a lot.
As for the video--we see the kid is absolutely deadly from up to 3 feet out. Has anyone ever seen him shoot anything besides a layup?
Aren't you just setting your kid up for disappointment if you are already making recruiting video's and telling him he is a D1 basketball player when he is in middle school and you dont know if he'll grow any or if he will ever develop the proper skill level to play in even the next level (High school is this kids next level). Don't make your kid into the guy who's living his high school hoop dreams when he's 40. Tell him to work his hardest and prepare him for possible disappointment.
I was 6'0 in 7th grade. I'm now in college and 6'1. I was told I was going to be 6'4 to 6'8. Height at that age is as irrelevant as middle school basketball talent. I could care less how good a kid is until he is playing HS varsity basketball.
Not hatin just going off a situation with a kid I knew growing up. His parents told him he was going to be all world all through middle school because he was dominant, then all the other kids caught up and he ended up being a very cocky very average HS player. He wound up blaming his coaches and everyone else for the reason he didnt play D1 basketball, not because he didnt work hard enough and just simply didn't have the talent. If the kid put the video up thats a different story, I hope he succeeds and does well, just parents blowing up a middle schoolers ego and making him think he's the next Lebron James normally doesnt come out well.definition of a hater right there
