So- I don't post too often. And I will admit.. I am a transplant from Texas. Moved here in 2006 and Vol Nation literally ate me up. I may have not been born a Vol fan but I will die one. I wish I was around during the glory days but I am optimistic we will reach the pinnacle again!

My daughter (first kid) was born on 12/21/12- yes she was born on the day of the Apocalypse. My wife had a great idea to track her growth- we are going to put a monthly footprint of hers on a Tennessee Vols signature football. I put her 2 week old left foot print to the left of the Power T. Will put every month thereafter below it on the white panel. Then her 1 year old footprint- we will put the right one to right of the Power T.

Anyhow, aside from the small but vocal fans crying about trivial things- it has been a pleasure to follow the Vols the last 6 years, even if the W-L column doesn't reflect great times. Rocky Top is a great place to be. Can't wait to raise my daughter in Tennessee Orange! My wife is a native here and I wouldn't have it any other way.

And Buck Fama. I don't buy the whole "SEC Dominance" argument. Alabama being awesome doesn't make Tennessee awesome. Tennessee being awesome makes Tennessee awesome. Besides- if ND won, the trophy wouldn't have gone to any other conference anyway.

Go Vols!

Love the idea, wished I'd thought to have done the same thing with my daughter, Peayton, 2 years ago. And we won't fault you for not being born a Vol, as you said, you'll die one and that works just as well. : )>

Congrats on the birth of your little baby girl. She was born two days before my b'day...she's almost a Christmas baby. But welcome aboard to VolNation. :welcome3: You'll find all kinds of very nice people on here :bs: that can help you out with the baby problems if you have qustions in that regard. Oh, and I am a Houston Texan fan also. :)

You moved here during the worst of times to be a Vol fan and yet became one anyway. Kudos to you and welcome to the Vol family. Congrats on the baby girl too. Orange and White baby cheerleader outfits are the most adorable things in the world....ask anyone. Even our rivals are smart enough to know that...uh...well....maybe their not that smart.

I lived in Houston back when the Texans were formed. I was at the parade down town where they announced the naming of the team.

I don't miss Houston. :)

I don't know how a person could watch a Tennessee game from the past few years and think, "Man I gotta pull for that team." but more power to ya :hi:
