I'm sorry, I thought it read "Joke of the day". It makes no difference until 9/17. Until then, they're just filler. They also had the Colts ranked #1 in the power ranking last year for the NFL and look how that turned out.

Wasn't Florida also ranked in the top ten preseason last year as well?

Of course, that was before losing 5 games (including lowly Mississippi State and the bowl game).

They always think that Leak is going to be Heisman contender and he disappoints everytime. You would think that they would learn by now.

I still think that UF is ranked way too high considering they haven't done ANYTHING in the last 3 or 4 years....but whatever.

But they have Urban now. Didn't you hear, Urban Meyer is the coach for Florida now. He is soooo great! j/k Don't worry, they'll drop as soon as they lose a few. We all know they will lose Sept. 17.
Go Vols!!!!

Actually, I tend to agree. A 7-5 team with a new offense? Sure, its POSSIBLE Florida could be very good. But I think the polls should reflect what people think is probable and Florida just has too many unknowns to be ranked in the top ten. I think somewhere in the 15 range is fair for now. Might go up, might go down. Just not reasonable to rank them that high with so many variables.

It's funny, Florida is always overrated and they always disappoint...Atl east they're consistent in something...Chris Leak is always a candidate for the Heisman and always fails to deliver, he will do the same this year....He's one of the most over rated plaer's in college football...He proved that in the Miami game last year......He was pathetic in that game..Afraid to take a hit...Threw how many interceptions? Yeah, he really sounds like a Heisman candidate...We'll see how good he is come 3 weeks from now

Yes, #10, but maybe the change of scenery will work out in Gainesville.

The entirety of the national college football fanbase is holding their breath to see how Florida will do under Meyer.

Good point.

I brought this one up a while ago.

Back in the earlier days of CFB, the Vols (I think under the General) went 0-2 against Southern Cal in the Rose Bowl. SC was also undefeated for years on end in the Rose Bowl. Then right after the Vols lost, you can guess who the team was to end SC's crazy-long streak... Bama. That's right. Time to get the Vols on the board in this series.
