What are your opinions on the latest Newsweek cover? Everyone else got the newsweek with "Losing Afghanistan" on the cover, but the one in the States featured a photographers "Life in Pictures"...

Would it be right to assume that the rest of the world gets the truth while we are being lied to? Or maybe that the rest of the world can handle the truth and Americans are way too fragile? Or is that cover just poor taste with mid-term elections coming up? Thoughts?

First, I would go back to Lexvol's responsable person reply.

Second, I understand why Newsweek would feature two different covers. The simple answer is money.

Would Newsweek sell their magazine in the states with that heading?

Reverse the argument, how many magazines would be sold around the world if it held the title "Life in Pictures".

No because it is popular to defame the United States around the world. Face it, we have more than every one else and we let every one know about it. To most perception is reality when it comes to the U.S.

Why, I personally do not care if the title around the world was distributed in the U.S. I will stand by my argument that it was a monetary decision and nothing else.

Just an example.....

Don't you think that more Americans would buy it if it had the Afghanistan cover? I know it would certainly interest me more than the other.

It depends who your audience is..........I do not know, but it would be interesting to find out what the age of their target audience.

I agree though, I would be more inclined to buy the magazine with the Afghan cover than the pictures cover.
