Next 3 Games may determine if Jones has control of Team

The past 5 years has been a trying dismal time period to be a Vol fan without a doubt. I feel we have a head coach who can turn things around if givin the chance which He will be givin the chance. Don't think 2014 is going to be much better when we have so many not coming back. patience is not a vurtue here on VN and many will continue to spew venomous comments and endless oratories of doom and gloom. However, 2014 will be a very important year for CBJ. This is his team now but at the same time it is not. As was posted earlier he did not recruit this team. He is setting the stage with a foundation for excellance but the pillars in which the program will be built upon will be the young men he recruits and trains up himself. I forsee 2014 being about the same as this year and it will be hard for the Vol faithful. 2015 will be IMHO the year we really see the improvement we so desperatley have been looking for. Im not writing 2014 off by no means but the reality of things are what they are. In the meantime there is still football to be played this year and no matter what happens I will support my Vols!!! Looking forward to the future

Have you watched the Kansas City Chiefs play this year? How about thr 5-7 Missouri Tigers from last year? Or this year's Auburn team? I get what you're saying though.

Not a fair comparison. NFL teams can draft and trade to improve talent and KC hired a known commodity NFL coach.

Pinkel has been at Mizzou for years, has had to rebuild some but the program has been stable. Pinkel has had highly ranked teams in the past as well.

Auburn had waaaay more talent on their roster than Tenn and Malzan was known to be the brains behind their success on offense when Chizik was HC.

But to your point, yes, I would have hoped for better success so far under CBJ this season. I think it will still come though. Next year could be a nice surprise.

We can agree on this 747! NIce bantering with you. :)

I saw a lack of execution and inconsistent play this past Saturday. Unsure about heart. Sometimes you get beat, out coached, or your outmatched. Sometimes it's having to rely on a freshmen QB in his first start against a top 10 team. I didn't see our team quit Saturday.
