Was not expecting that but he did well at Murray. They'll bring in another top flight mid-major coach because of the great tradition at Murray.

Solid guy, solid hire. Found this on him:
I see he was the FCA National Basketball Coach of the year for his commitment to Christ both on and off the court.

I don't know much of his recruiting or coaching skills but on the surface sure appears to be a man of high character and integrity

Has a background at Aggieland having served on Kermit Davis' staff. Should know his way around Lone Star recruiting.

A lot will depend on the chemistry between the new staff and the team but if everything clicks he should hit the ground running. We'll get a chance to see how good a recruiter he is this coming season if he can keep the Bryan High School PG (heavy KU lean) at home. J-Mychal Reese - Yahoo! Sports

Murray State has scheduled a 5:00pm ET press conference to announce their new head coach. All indications are that assistant coach Steve Prohm will be elevated to the position. He has been at MSU for the past five seasons and worked under former Racers head coach Billy Kennedy at Centenary and Southeastern Louisiana as well.

Thought I would put this here instead of starting new thread.
