Im gonna go with Matt Milton. Kid has us in our top two and he hasn't even visited campus yet, and when he does I wouldn't be surprised if he commited on the spot...

Who do you guys think will be our next commitment?

and please be realistic here.....

Florida is up top, but he is visiting this week and his parents went here.

But like I said, no idea.

"I understand we are very close to getting a commitment from a top OL prospect in the next couple of weeks......stay tuned."

The same guy who said this today on VQ is apparently the same guy who said that Bryce and Nuke would be coming to Tennessee...
That statment would make me think it is either Hurst, Stone, or Green. Hurst hasn't said anything about the Vols since he visited and apparently won't answer Hubbs calls (although he did answer calls from UGA). Green said a few days ago that his #1 is Florida and he hasn't visited UT yet. So, that leaves me with Stone. LWS said his visit this past week wasn't a "knock-out." But too many things for me point to it being him: 1) I think he's the Vols #2 target (behind Heaps). 2) good friends Jacques and they visited both UT last week and Bama together. 3) he indicated in a previous article that none of his visits to other schools were knock-outs either (Bama, Auburn, Vandy.) 4) I expect him to be at the O&W game and see what the Vols are really all about. 5) he is from Nashville, not Memphis... But, hey, I'm prolly wrong...

I believe it to be James Stone as well

I dont have a subscription to rivals or scout, but I think there was an article about how J.Smith was trying to convince Stone to come to UT. Kid is HUGE and has the grades. Would be great to get 2 solid commits on the line this early.

Hampdawgg, I dont know how close you are to the Corey Miller recruitment. Does anyone know if the Byrnes kids want to play together in college? They have a few good D1 prospects on the team this year.

Smith has already started recruiting other prospects to UT, namely offensive lineman James Stone from Maplewood High School. Stone is likely Smith’s top competition to be named the state’s top prospect.

“I try to persuade them over a little bit, just to see the good sides about Tennessee and the negative about the other schools that I’ve seen already,” Smith said. “I let them know in advance without taking the trips.”

From KNS on March 6th or 7th...

“I follow (recruiting) a lot,” he said. “I’m really trying to look at players in Tennessee that we need to keep here.”

From the Chattanooga Times yesterday...

Miller has said if they have interest in the same schools, they might work with the other to go together. But he said they will not follow the other just because one or the other signed somewhere.
