Tennessee played a hell of a game last night. I will not take nothing away from them and I will not lay out excuses or blame. They did everything they needed to do and came up a little short. Pig Howard was a college kid just trying to score and had that been a touchdown, yes Tennessee would have won because we found out on the ensuing drive that Georgia couldnt score. My hats off to the efforts and guts put on display last night. From here on out, its Tennessee against the world and the confidence boost they received last night will carry on. Butch and this team will be in a bowl and Tennessee is back. GO BIG ORANGE!!!

Now that the adrenaline has worn off, I'm quite a bit more pissed off and disappointed than I was yesterday.

We were literally inches away from the national perception of this program changing. Yeah, people took notice of the fight and the execution, but ultimately, the headline is that Georgia escaped with a win--not that UT played out of their minds and won.

Really, really disappointed. A win in two weeks against USC will make up for it though. Just gotta hope the team can continue to bring that level of intensity.

The foundation is definitely being laid! I am so proud of our team and I hope they continue to just go out there and lay it all on the line. I also am proud of the fans who provided the atmosphere! I wish Neyland would rock like that every time our team takes the field! The future looks Bright Orange!

It's a long season for me to be disappointed over this loss. Of course I wish we had won...but I am just extremely proud of our guys and our coaches. Also grateful for the way our fans made Neyland roar like it has in the past and the perception that recruits saw.....the way Tennessee is supposed to be like.

Man that first half was pretty rough. Didn't think it was gonna be close by the end of the game. Have gotten used to getting dusted in the second half the last few years. Glad to see Butch pull out all the stops, make good half time adjustments, getting the ball to the playmakers, pushing all the right buttons, leaving it all on the field and not playing scared. (See Kiffen vs ucla and florida).

I am proud of our Vols. Yesterday, even though they fell short of a win, they played with the hearts of champions. Looking forward to beating South Carolina.

When I read the title of this thread, I thought the OP had too much to drink last night and took home an ugly woman. Just kidding, it was a great game and great effort by our Vols!

Went to the game and had a great time. Guys played their buts off and Coach Jones did a great job coaching. Really glad to see the fans stand and give the Vols a standing ovation when they walked off the field. Great to have that kind of atmosphere on our biggest recruiting weekend.

Let's hope to God we don't continue the streak against ranked teams and make it 0-20, we'll have to beat S. Carolina to stop the bleeding, and that's a tall task indeed.
Go Vols
