Will Hardesty be UTs next great RB. I am a little disappointed that Coker is not playing yet.

We need to get Jim Bob Cooter on the field somehow and get the ball in his hands to utilize his athleticism...

I was wondering the same thing, he's fast as hell, why havent we played him yet, Hardesty showed promise until he went down and Im not overly impressed with Foster sooo whats the holdup? :dunno:

Maybe if we just painted his name in the endzone the offense would finally get em some................

touchdowns.

That was my hope, but you never know about these knee injuries.

in my opinion it will be coker. hardesty did look good till he got hurt but i think coker is gonna be special. He runs a 4.39 and he isnt just speed.

I don't know who it's going to be but I hope that our RB's can get back to running the ball like the old days. We have been on a slow decline with RB talent.

Is it the backs or the line blocking?

I would have to say both.

Jakouri Williams could be great, but his size doesn't fit into Tennessee's "idea" of a RB. That's why they have already looked at him at WR and Defense.

In the Orange and White game, Williams was getting to and around the corners quickly. He has some good runs in that game.

So I guess foster is getting that much praise. Did I miss something?

I think Hardesty will be the next great RB at UTK. But, I do not understand why people have not been impressed with Foster. He has all the tools.

Just a side note to this conversation. This morning it was released by TT that we are going to play several RBs in the game this weekend. Names that were mentioned (other than the two we know) were Williams and Yancey. I would like to see Coker play as well but the coaches say he is having trouble with fumbles in practice and still doesn't have a good grasp on the offense (but who does so I say give him a shot) :twocents:

I like what Foster has done so far, nothing spectacular, but shows promise. He has protected the ball well, knows his blocking assignments, and can make the first guy miss.

Hardesty, Buzz kill! Right when he proved he was ready, we lost him. :banghead:

Coker, is he still bruised up? I kept hearing we would atleast have seen him on special teams by now. Seems, in the summer he was having trouble with ball handling? There was one of early practices clips, Coker broke into the secondary before dropping a shoulder into someone and bounced out of bounds. (impressive hit)

Williams, Once he got healthy (banged up), i thought for sure we would see him, other than at WR and ST. (Is he questionable with blocking assignments?)

Yancey, I never really felt he would be the future behind Houston now Riggs, Im familiar with the scholarship situation, But any thing you do hear of him, is that he's still busting his rump everyday in practice. I admire that and hope he is able to make it back to UT, for his Sr season.

If Coker has trouble holding onto the ball we CANNOT play him in this game. Turnovers will kill us.

I liked Hardesty, he looked very promising until the injury. Hope this isn't something that will plague him his whole college career.

I live in San Diego and have seen clips on Foster, as well as seen him play in person at UT and Mission Bay. I find that he has all the essential skills to be a very good UT back! He protects the ball well, shows good leg drive and strength as well as keeps his feet moving. I really like the fact that he squares his shoulders up field and is not afraid to take or give a hit.

My two cents.
