It looks like our dealings with Jon Gruden are finished.

Move onto the next plan of attack.

Many think that means Jimbo Fisher and it could very well be true. Al Golden is the next interview on Thursday and Charlie Strong is reportedly up on Friday.

The two names that I sure hope that Dave Hart is considering are Bill O'Brien and James Franklin. Both are young, charismatic, great recruiters, driven by success, and both would win fast and win big at Tennessee with our resources, tradition, and brand.

O'Brien's buyout could be a problem. Fans need to get over that Franklin coached at Vanderbilt and that he said what any coach would say in the midst of a rivalry. He is not long for Vanderbilt. He is a rising superstar. Why not at Tennessee?

You do realize Franklin has lost a game to Dooley. Automatic disqualification.

If our options are Golden, Strong, And Fisher, I'm in for Jimbo.
I wish they would consider Mora Jr. and Greg Roman.

I do not like the spread offense and that is what Fedora runs. I much prefer a pro-style offense with a power running game.

You guys need to wake up. Gruden is the #1 choice and they are working on a deal right now.

Al Golden is not coming to UT. They have not nor will talk to Golden. So get over that.

Franklin is not on there list either.

So enough with these reports and just focus on Gruden as UT is looking at this only one way.

I am thinking the Fedora option may be the best. IF we hired him, I wish it was very quick. With him only being at UNC one year, I hate doing that to them. The NCAA stuff kind of opens the door for a coach to bail at any time though. I like his OC, DC, and VK is a solid guy on defense as well. His staff is very under paid IMO. I would think for less than 5 million total, we would have a whole new coach & staff in place. Of course keep Graham, Pittman, and Staley. Fedora is intense and I think would do well in the SEC.

Thanks for helping me to remember how to use the ignore button.

I am OK with the spread as long as a run game is still an important part of the offense. UNC threw the ball for 3500 yards and ran it for 2200 yards. To compare, we threw it for 3700 and ran for 1700. I could live with it.

There are many realistic options that are GREAT. I'd take Golden, Mora, or Strong in a heartbeat.

hart should reconsider his position here at the university of Tennessee, call his wife to pack and head back to alabama on the first boat load of bamawagoneers that troll thru Knoxville.

I am not sure if Fedora would be willing to dump his defensive staff or would he do a Cutcliffe and stick with them. They did a little betetr than we did this year giving up about 10 fewer points a game and about 100 yards a game less. Would still need bigger names on the defensive staff IMO.

Not so fast, lets wait a little bit before we say JG is not interested.
