I don`t know who will be our HC next year, but the next move Mr.Hart/others will determine Big Orange football for the next generation.
Playing poorly on defense is bad enough, but 20,000-30,000 empty seats is sad and will cost millions in lost revenue.
So do you keep Dooley and staff thus saving millons in buyout. Do you hire new HC and staff adding to debt plus buyout. What if new coach is also a bust after 3 years now what?
Like I said the next move is very important. It will either right the ship or sink the vol navy even lower.

Keeping Dooley & staff will not save you anything. Yes, you do not pay the buyouts(this year). You will lose more money in revenue than the buyouts would have cost you. Paying 9 million in buyouts over 2-4 years is alot easier than taking a 15 million dollar hit in lost revenue in 1 year. JMO

Excellent points Wes. Maybe that's why Hart has been extremely quiet and not given the perverbial vote of confidence.

You have no idea who hired who. DD was a loser long before he came to UT and will be a loser long after he is fired from this job.

Dooley will be our coach next season, so we will have to wait another year before we find out who the next head coach will be. By then, the team will be full of graduating seniors or juniors departing for the NFL. So what coach would want to come to U.T. with that situation going on?

Bray, Hunter, Patterson, entire O line, A.J. J. Smith, Maggit, sentimore, couch will all be gone.

So, new coach will need to coach a new q.b. A new receiving corps, a new O Line and two new linebackers. and a couple of new defensive linemen. Who wants that challenge?????

this is truly the time to get rid of Dooley, but I am afraid it will not happen.

A new coach brings a new plan. He brings a new system and a new way of doing things. Why would a coach be worried about having to coach new players? EVERY coach who takes a new job has to coach new players. That makes no sense at all. How do we know Bray, Hunter, and CP would not leave IF Dooley is retained? Who says they would stay to play for him? What if they would stay ONLY if a proven winner were hired? If the fans feel the coach is a lame duck, you can be sure the players feel the same way.

Well, didn't we say that Chavis is a horrible D Co ordinator and would never get a good job after Fulmer was fired from U.T.?

Well, he was offered a job at Clemson but took the job at LSU. Seems he is doing real well. Don't you sometimes wish Chavis were here again?

Well, didn't we say that there is no way in the world that Foster makes an NFL roster? He fumbles too much.
Well he made the roster and is a full time starter and was a pro bowler last season.

Who is to say that Dooley won't show up as coach of another college in a few seasons and have that team in the top #25?

We are basing our predictions of others on their performance at U.T. What if they learn from their mistakes, get the perfect opporunity and excell?

Yes the next hire is going to cost millions the rub is do you take a hit on the buyout or on ticket sales. At the end of the day it will come down to money. Which hurts less now and makes more later. The easy answer is make a home run hire and the hard question is who is that?

That's an interesting point. Moving forward, I just don't see how an AD at any school on any level can look the trustees in the eyes and say "Dooley's our guy". Hard to see him as anything other than an assistant in his next gig.

I was one of the few who felt Fulmer/staff should have had another year. 15 winning seasons in 17 usually calls for it. JMO

Why are you saying "We"? We, does not include everyone here. Foster had a great career here at Tennessee. He was ripped on for a few fumbles. He did not fumble any more than any other backs here. He DID carry the ball ALOT and hewas forced to carry the load alot as a young guy.

This is Dooleys 2nd stop and it looks to be very similar. Of course there is always the next stop. Maybe 15 years from now Dooley beats a ranked team.

Now Kentucky will get a jump on interviewing other coaches for the job. For instance, they may get one of the candidates that we had in mind and have him hired before we even announce that Dooley is gone.

It does make a difference if your just asking if people are interested and if you actually have an opening. UK, now has an opening. Arkansas said they want thier new coach in place 1st week in Dec. Waiting could be a bad play here for all the school looking for a coach.

HAHAAA

Foster is one of the worst backs to ever come out of Tennessee

He fumbled everytime he touched the ball...

There was a reason why he was undrafted

It is amazing how a little bit of money will change a player.

I cant tell you how many games we lost bc of his fumbles and drops..

You sir dont know what your talking about, maybe you should try basketball?

Arian Foster had right at 3000 yards in his UT career. That is 2nd place all time. He fumbled just 5 times on 650 carries. That is the most carries for a UT RB all time. Foster was given a 2nd round draft grade his JR year and decided to return to UT for his SR year. Injuries and a 3rd OC hurt his SR year. How is he doing now?

Very nice refutation. Foster was a great back. Unfortunately most people remember him for his fumbles at inopportune times rather than his good contributions.

very obvious you did not watch UT football in the foster era and have not even given the NFL a wink of attention since he graduated...
