Next year

Yea because incoming freshman make such a huge difference! Look at our sweet receiving corp or our true freshman qb. So don't worry everyone next year we will have a whole new class of athletes to drop passes and play lackadaisical defense. And dang it next year will be the year we.... do absolutely the same **** we're doing this season.

Am I the only one who is sick of saying it'll be better next year and then that next year never effin comes. It has been like this for the better part of a decade now and reality is welcome to the new brand of Tennessee Football. Mediocrity at best! Start settling for 6-6 maybe an 8 win season here and there. Those who won't admit it are still in denial, but we are Vandy caliber with more empty seats in our stadium!

What did you expect this year, little talent, terrible schedule and a new coach that hasn't won anywhere but in shi--y conferences. Recruiting will help in the talent part, the schedule will always be tough (you're in the SEC) but it won't look as bad when you have talent on the same level as the opponents, and CBJ is a step up from what you've had the last few years though despite what some delusional UT fans think he hasn't shown that he's SEC quality yet. Be patient, it's not going to get much, if any, better the next couple of years. It will take 2-3 top recruiting classes to get close to the elite SEC teams, then you can judge how good or bad CBJ is, not until then.

My Dad told me earlier in the year he wants an SEC championship one more time before he goes. Unsure if he'll see it.

Lost to GA on a close fumble call. Then beat SoCar. In year one.
In year one with the last guy we lost because we had 13 on the field.

We're already further along than the last guy ever achieved

Oh thank heavens we are further along now. Honestly the day we fired Dooley we automatically became "further along" than what we were. The team quit tonight just like they did on Dooley. Our defense gave up more yrds to Mizzu than Arkansas St did in their game. They also gained more yards than Tennessee and scored more. Against like opponents Tennessee would lose to Ark St. The only thing that makes us "further along" is we don't have to hear Dooley's God awful voice anymore.

In regards to those advising me to kill myself sorry that won't happen either the only thing dying is Tennessee Football.

From another thread but it works here too.

I'm not asking for instant gratification you moronic schmuck. I have been enduring this horrible excuse for football for approximately 10 yrs, and if you feel I'm expecting instant gratification well then I think you need to gain a better understanding of what instant gratification is. No matter who has been the coach I am tired of seeing the team quit, poor execution along with poor discipline.

Getting beat is not quiting. And because we sucked for 10 years doesn't change where we are with these players.
This is the first year of starting over.

You do get points for "moronic schmuck". That made me laugh.

Why thank you!

However, I would be fine with getting beat by Missouri I wouldn't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with the manner in which we lost. Our players and if you won't admit it I will but flat out gave up. Mizzu's offense was better than 50% on 3rd down conversions, their backup first yr qb had 100+ yrds on the ground averaging like 9yds a carry. Our offense was dismal barely gaining over 300 yds, a veteran line with players who were "premier" "top notch" highly sought after players coming out of high school couldn't make holes to run through or even protect our qb. receivers that were dropping balls that hit them in the hands or chest. This team felt defeated before entering the stadium tonight, and it was evident.

Wow...Okay...So THIS is what Georgia fans felt like after they first heard the radio call-in after the Clemson loss earlier this year....

I may not laugh at that ever again.
