We will go thrash Vandy, and play in some mid level bowl and hopefully win so as to stay in the top 25. The Milton era is over and next year will be the first one where coach Heupel will have most of the team be kids that he recruited. Then we will see if he made good choices. If we are lucky, we might also get a few players from the portal. At this point, all of the woulda , coulda, shoulda, is moot.

So, do we also ignore the scholarship reductions every year Heupel has been here and the NCAA investigation also?

Just curious, why LSU?

They are only 8-3 with a Heisman contender at QB. Shouldn’t we expect them to drop off some after Daniels goes to the NFL? Meanwhile, we’re ushering in Nico and a new wave of talent.

Also don’t forget Texas and Oklahoma are joining the league.

Coach with more experience and normally a Top 10 recruiting class. I’m not convinced Texas and Oklahoma can handle the SEC grind. Texas has the talent but not sure Stark can handle the SEC.

Overall a crappy year. We didn't hold serve on the big three rivals this. year. Fla, Uga, and Bammer all manhandled us. And next year becomes a murderer's row. with Texas and Oklahoma coming in, and Mizzou has turned the corner. We're gonna have to step it up. We can't play Ky and Vandy every week.

Experience or not, Kelly isn't a great coach. He wasn't at ND and now he has stepped up in competition when looked at from a big picture perspective. His team is already loaded with talent. He has a Heisman QB and some great WRs. They actually have an elite O... and still can't win. Butch Jones was more or less a Kelly clone... or clown if you choose.

I'd come closer to predicting Kelly fired from LSU 3 years from now than winning the SEC.

I would take Kelly everyday over Butch.

Nico will go to the transfer portal. He knows he has a better future away from the Vols simply from the way he has been treated.
