i want to see what you think.

how do you see us next year. do you see coaching changes. do you see another miserable year of underachieving. do you see a big rebound. what will our record be. who will be qb and rb.

just wondering. :dunno:

there won't be any coaching changes. we will probably finish around the same as this year 7-4 6-5 some where in there. in my opinion.

next year is far away but the way things are going right now i think we will prolly lose a minimum of 3 games. the opener is tough next year too since we gotta play california. we could easily start out 0-2. there has to be some coaching changes. and we HAVE to find a qb. even if it means playing cooter or hardegee.

Guys, I have to give PF some credit for being cunning. He will not get rid of any coaches yet. He knows as long as RS is getting alot of the heat, then PF feels pretty safe with his job. What better way to get the heat off of yourself when you have someone to take the blame. As long as many fans are onto RS for the losses, Phil can rest better at nights. Also, as long as fans continue to fill the stadium and bring in the money, PF can rest better at nights. Volunteer fans are among the most loyal in the world which is very admirable. But, there's got to come a point when fans say they won't take any more mediocrity and sloppy playing on the field. I think most true fans can take losing when getting beat by superior teams. But, I don't see these other teams as being superior talent-wise than the Vols. I see these other teams as better prepared and more disciplined than our Vols. You just can't win very many games when you shoot yourself in the foot every single game. My two cents.

Fulmer makes Sanders run the offense the way he wants it, and then when the heat gets too much, just blame him and fire him to preserve your own neck. This stuff happens all the time.

Most coaches only make coaching changes to cover their own butts, Johnny Majors did that seveal times to save his own job. Blame the assistants, fire them, to take the heat off. Bowden at Clemson did it last year.

One of the reason fulmer can recruit well, is we have the largest fan base in college football and some of the nicest facilities. Of course he can recruit well with that. Lots of coaches could recruit well here. Knoxville is a nice area.

I don't have any reason to belive we will be any better next year. I think our defense will still be pretty good. But I have absolutely no confidence in our coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball. If Fulmer makes some changes after the season then maybe we might have a chance to be pretty good.

As far as Fulmer's job security is concerned, I think keeping Sanders around will only hurt Fulmer. If people stop filling Neyland, and boosters and donors stop giving money because they are tired of the embarassing offense and special teams Fulmer probably won't last too much longer. But if Fulmer goes out and hires a new OC and the new OC puts a spark back into our offense then Fulmer will look smart and the wins and the fans will start to come back.

Fulmer has created a monster at UT. We expect winning,we expect dicipline,we expect competing for an SEC and National Championship most every season. If Fulmer can't feed the monster he created then it is time for someone else to give it a try. :td:
