1. We need two big time QBs
2. We must sign a lot of Offensive and Defensive Lineman or we will be hurting very bad in 2 years

What does everyone else think?

Probably need to sign two QB's but Coleman may yet work out.

OL is the biggest need by far plus a big WR especially if they don't get one today.

BTW, the pain isn't 2 years out on OL. After this season, UT will be down to 7 or 8 scholarship OL's. At least a couple aren't SEC material and may never be.

IMHO, UT needs to sign at least two SEC ready kids next year (probably JUCO) and between 6-8 OL's total.

Oh, if UT doesn't get another RB in this class... you can add that position as thin also.

Two QB's, you say? I would be happy with one, who gets the attention and coaching, and gains confidence knowing that he's our #1

D-Line/O-line, a big must for sure.

I would also like to see our offense find and utilize a big time TE. We run a pro offense, and in the NFL over the last 10 years TE play has been a QB's best friend.

1. I never got the point of 2 qbs in the same class.

Competition and the probability that one of them won't work out. UT has a long history of success signing two highly ranked QB's together: Shuler/Colquitt, Manning/Stewart, Ainge/... and I forgot the moron's name.

Clausen/Suggs comes to mind aswell.

Huskies make cut in Heaps' top 10

We need help in the interior help on both sides of the ball but we need a system QB and this guy is the one. Read further down in the article and he talks about wanting to commit early and he's visiting Knoxville next month. Let the freak out period begin. I can say with 0% certainty he will make or break our class :pepper: :salute:

Needs next year:

1. OL/DL ( need to add depth & quality players here )
2. Top QB ( one that can turn into a leader the entire 4 yrs he is here )
3. Big Playmaking WR.

I've been saying 2 QB's for a while.

a 5* stud and a 3* with less fanfare that the staff can redshirt and develop as a backup/future starter.

Crompton graduates...whoever doesn't want the starting job between Coleman/Stephens could transfer.

We need O-linemen in a big way. We need stud D-lineman to get pressure up front. The Tampa 2 needs to get pressure from its front four as Monte doesn't blitz as much as other coordinators.

1)Barry Brunetti: Memphis, TN QB
2)Bo Wallace: Pulaski, TN QB
3)Julian Burton: Memphis, TN WR
4)Keiwone Malone: Memphis, TN WR
5)James Stone: Nashville, TN OL
6)OC Brown: Memphis, TN OK
7)Zak Tait: Knoxville, TN OL
8)Jaquez Smith: Ooltewah, TN DL COMMITTED
9)Fred Harvey: Memphis, TN LB
10)Justin Maclin: Memphis, TN LB
11)Corey Acosta: Memphis, TN K We're the leader

All of these guys will be highly ranked, except Acosta, but he's a kicker. This is probably the deepest class the state of TN has had. I say most of these guys are 4-5 stars some of them being high three stars at worst.

Jaquez Smith is by far the best player in the state and one of the top in the country.

I've heard of Brunneti and Tait already, these guys plus smith will all likely be 5 stars this year. if we can get Brunneti and Tait on board it should stop all the whining about QB's and OL for next year anyways. All 3 of these guys are studs... Wrap em up Kiffin!

Being an eighth generation Tennessean myself, I feel your pain. Being from Nashville and living in middle TN most of my life I concur Memphis is the arm pit of TN.

On the flip side allot of folks from Memphis know very well how others in the state have a better that thou attitude and dislike Memphis. So when a top prospect decides to go out of state who do we blame.
So maybe we UT Fans from the middle and eastern part of the state should lay off our negative Memphis comments. Especially if want Memphis area players at our state school.
I still wouldn't live in Memphis if you paid me too.

No you see what i see. Its going to be tough to pull a lot of these guys. Memphis may as well be in mississippii or arkansas, take your pick.

Burton from white station is a running back not a reciever. He is what you would call a homerun hitter. Franklin played White Station and kept him in check for the whole game except for one play where he went for like 76 yards. he is hella fast.
