According to Rob Lewis, Martin is expecting UT to play in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off next year.

Along with UT, the field will supposedly include Providence, Oklahoma State, Southern Miss, Akron, NC State, Xavier, and Penn State.

hmm. I remember reading on every tourney's website to see when they are announced and most wouldn't be announced until late summer.

Pretty sure we knew last season that we would be playing in Maui this season. They usually do these things more in advance than 3-4 months. The fields are usually set closer to a year in advance.

I like this tourney...

Not the juggernauts like we faced in Maui, but still decent enough teams to get recognition, and provide a good experience.

Looks like a pretty weak field to me. If we have learned anything tonight, it is that the selection committee values a team's out-of-conference schedule...maybe a little too much. With that being said, this looks like good competition to start the season.

if this is true and we get rid of Hall to allow room for stokes' best friend, then we win this tournament

We can beat anyone in that tournament, but NC State and Xavier worry me a bit.

I think the team will have a European tour this summer as well. She get off to a good start next year.

Sounds good. Hopefully we keep up our appearances in the major preseason tourneys. We've gone NIT and Maui back to back so this is probably a welcome break. 2K Sports Classic would be nice for 2013-14 season.

I would much rather see a loaded non conference schedule than middle of the road teams especially as weak as the SEC has become, wouldn't be surprised to be a 3-4 bid league again next year. There is absolutely no room for error in conference if we don't schedule 2 or 3 heavy hitters OOC in my opinion.

We have Memphis, Virginia, and Xavier or NC State possibly in OOC.
