How many coaches jobs in the NFL are in jeopardy?
I'd have to start with the Redskins? I was a Redskins fan until 10-12 years ago when Peyton was drafted by the Colts-no truning back. Of course I've always like the following teams-Colts and Dolphins.
Once Peyton retires, within 5 years, he's a definite shoo-in on the first ballot in the NFL HOF.:good!::salute::thumbsup:

Skins coach, Texans coach, somewhat Chicago coach, Panthers coach, and unless the guy is new - seahawks coach

Definitely Washington and Houston. The Redskins have been pretty bad all year and Houston has done a nosedive.

shoot forgot one....um.....maybe wade phillips (Dallas). not certain but it's been possible for a while now (if for some reason Jeff Fisher is let go - which he won't be unless a major fight breaks out or he really decides to use the "forcing me to play Young was contempt of contract" that ESPN had been advertising the last few days - then Wade would quickly be gone)

I hadn't heard about this Fisher thing. Is it true or juts ESPN trying to get things stirring?

Seems like it would be pretty silly for Fisher to go out like that, especially since putting Young back in really saved his rep in Nashville somewhat.

It's true in that if a lawyer were to read over the contract he would say yeah you could leave on terms.

But Bud has since said that he doesn't want to get rid of Fisher and Jeff said something along the lines of pretty much he didn't plan of doing any such thing at all.

John Fox is probably gone in Carolina, and Bill Cowher (according to Adam Schefter) will be the guy to replace him.

I think that Jim Zorn (Redskins), Gary Kubiak (Texans), and John Fox (Carolina) are shoo-ins to be fired after this season. I think Mike Shanahan takes over in Houston and Bill Cowher takes over in Carolina. No idea who the Redskins would hire to replace Zorn.

The bigger question is: "who would go to Washington to coach"? They're getting a Raiderish reputation due to how invasive Snyder is. If Snyder listens to the media scrutiny and become a financier, butts out as an owner/manager/coach and gets a good manager... a good coach will follow.

Parcells or Holmgren as managers at Washington would be really interesting.

I've heard some speculation that Holmgren might return to Seattle and be the full-time general manager.

Holmgren to Celeveland and Shanahan to washington its gonna happen

Gary Kubiak should dust off his resume, and Wade Phillips might want to get his out again also. You never know with Mr. Jones regardless of what he says to the cameras.

I know espn is compeltely unreliable but they say jerry jones is interested in bob stoops. I think that it might be a good fit. Kubiak might be gone but if they finish 9-7 it will be hard to fire a coach after your first ever winning season as a franchise. I still want to know who will end up in Buffalo.

The only thing that comes outta Jerry's mouth that I believe is that he wants us to come to his shrine errrrr stadium. Total and complete wind bag that shouldnt be trusted any further than you can throw him. Im guessing Wade has yet to actually unpack his bags since he's been there, and if he's smart he wont.

As far as Jerry going after Stoops, its something I wouldnt put past him, but I think it would atleast be another year before that rumor grew legs.

Gary Kubiak has ties to aTm, but Sherman is not ready, and most reasonable Aggies, if thats not an play on words, are satisfied enough with him and what he's done for recruiting. It would be interesting to see that speculation circle around in the upcoming years as Sherman's contract draws closer to an end.

When Rick Perry takes over the Presidency of the University, things at aTm might change drastically. Sherman needs a win in the bowl, and a winning season in '10.

Look what he has done with Slaton, Johnson, Schaub and then he was really successful in Denver. I understand he hasnt won but that definetely isnt because of lack of offensive production, which is why i think he deserves one more season.

He's had 4 years in a franchise that was started 3 years before he got there and was a complete mess. He has brought order now let him try to find a clutch kicker and a much better defensive coordinator because they have the talent on defense.
