So with the NFL Draft starting tonight who would you guys take with the #1 pick if you were Carolina?

I would go with Patrick Peterson personally. He is a stud and is so versitale and I think he is a much safer investment than Cam Newton.

Should be an exciting draft to watch tonight at 8PM!

I think Peterson is the best overall player in the draft.

However, Carolina's greatest need is on the defensive line, so I'd go with Dareus or Fairley. Probably Dareus.

Since it just about impossible to trade that pick this year, i would take fairley.

they keep saying bowers is falling man i wish he would fall to the bucs that would be a steal

They need d-line help more than anything so unless a miracle happens and they trade the pick, Dareus is the guy.

Not about the 1st pick, but McShay has the Dolphins taking Luke Stocker from Miami in the third round..disgraceful

that would cost your whole draft, id be pissed if that happened but atleast your getting a top talent

It depends on how you look at it. If you think that you are one offensive player away from going to the SB, then I say go for it.

I don't think we are one player away though. We may be three players away more realistically.

DE, LB, deep threat WR. Maybe CB.

Schefter is reporting that Blaine Gabbert will be on the board when the Titans pick at 8. If he is, you HAVE to take him over Fairley, IMO. QB driven league, now.

no you don't. accuracy issues, lofts the ball, and played in a shotgun offense. regardless, the titans will continue to be a bad team.

Really...cause all ESPN is saying is that he's going to the 49ers at 7

gabbert over fairley sounds like a freakin joke

fairley was unblockable last yr and when he gets to the QB he makes it count with a nasty hit

gabbert was never even talked about when football was being played and he's at mizzou its not like he was at a real small school dude just seems too risky imo

id take mallet or dalton in the 2nd or wherever they go

He was injured throughout the season. I think it was his knee or ankle of his leading foot.

Gabbert isn't as big a risk as Fairley, IMO.

Fairley has attitude issues/off the field issues, as well as taking plays off.

Gabbert really impressed me during the Gruden QB camp.

When did Gruden become the "end all" with QB development/predicting? Did i miss something?
