Well with the 49ers dropping the hammer and the Titans expected to do the same in the near future I wonder how that will affect the college game. Rumors of Saban to the Cowboys (I doubt) and now Harbaugh to the 49ers it will be interesting to see who these teams go after. I mean how many NFL caliber coaches are there out there.

Dallas- Opening
Minnessota-Open
49ers-Open
Cleveland-Pending
Giants-Pending
Cincinatti-Pending
Texans-Pending (or did they fire their coach)
Denver-Open
Tennessee Titans-Pending

That is alot of vacancies...

A team or two might dip into the college ranks. Don't expect the Titans to be one of them. I fully expect Bud to hire a guy like Wade Phillips to be his yes man.

If Jacksonville doesn't make the playoffs, I can see Del Rio hopping into the unemployment line as well. Norv Turner should should be joining him.

it might just be a big shuffle with coaches going to new teams.

God help the Titans if Bud picks Wade Phillips. Or even worse, Norv Turner

Dear God, please NO.

The Titans don't need a retread HC, like Wade Phillips. I'll take Ron Rivera or Jim Harbaugh...someone like that, but I'd rather keep Fisher than end up with Wade Phillips.

Shanahan isn't going anywhere.

they are talking on sportscenter about it being possible that there will be up to 10 head coach changes during the off season

Yeah, going to be alot of movement this off season. Already has started. And you need to add Carolina to your list.

Harbaugh to the Titans would be a dream come true, although it won't happen. I think he goes to the Niners.

I'm sure they will. He's worth it.

i think he'd be an excellent nfl coach, but i bet york is too cheap to throw 4 or 5 mil a year at him. and i think that's what it would take given the 49ers current qb situation. if i was him i'd rather have the carolina job with luck coming in.

Yeah, that was my train of thought as well. Carolina and San Fran would be the two most logical places for him to go. I'm pretty sure his family lives in the East, so that wouldn't be an obstacle (although I'd rather live in the Bay Area over Charlotte, NC any day of the week).

his wife reportably doesn't want to leave the bay area. could be a big factor.

Surely the Panthers wouldn't be content (and stupid) enough to ride out the storm with Clausen and allow the Niners to trade up to get the #1 pick.

hard to imagine. luck's the best qb to come out in years. i'd be shocked if he wasn't successful.

Yeah, that would never happen.

With that being said, they could be in a good position to draft Mallett or (gag) Locker.

What I wanna know is how Gary Kubiak still has a job. Giving up 308 yards passing to TIM TEBOW is embarrassing.

I'd hate to see Jeff Fisher go, but I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up with Carolina or Houston.

Of the guys getting fired, pretty sure John Fox and Fisher will find HC jobs. Mangini might have a shot at another job, but I'm not sure why. Same for Marvin Lewis. Doubt Wade, Kubiak, Turner, McDaniels, and Singletary find HC positions in the NFL.

Don't think Coughlin gets the axe, but he might if the Giants are terrible in the final game.

Mangini won't get fired. Cleveland beat the Saints and Patriots this year, and they have played some great teams very close, doing all of this with inferior talent.
