Which do you guys prefer on the weekends?? Saturday or Sunday? :aggressive:
I love both (maybe Sundays a little more), but there are definitely some things better about the college game than the pro. And vice versa.
For example:
Good--------
NCAA: huge fan base; electric atmosphere; fans rushing the field; biggest rivalries; battle of the conferences; band fight songs; more big plays on suspect defenses
NFL: has superior compeition and parity; most games are close and usually down to the wire; ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN; playoff system determines "true" champion; stricter rules makes for more acrobatic plays; EVERYBODY IS GOOD (if you dont come to play you can lose); can watch teammates develop good relationships because they play together longer
Bad--------
NCAA: lack of good competition from week to week=too many blowouts (SE Missouri St. versus Texas); lopsided distribution of talent; BCS and "disputed" champs every year; superior talent usually wins out; celebration penalties; guys leaving early for the $$; heisman trophy bias
NFL: whiny players over contracts; fan base doesn't compare to NCAA; too many challenges slow game; players and free agency; players holding out for bigger contracts; defenses are so good that game is uneventful sometimes
That's my two cents.... what about the rest of you??
