First things first. Our QB got injured
I and others have expressed dissatisfaction with Martinez's on field products. Notably that the DBs don't turn their head to look for the ball, thus enhance interceptions. It was mentioned that it appears the light turned on when Nico got his bell rung. I hope that's true, though I don't think his less than stellar play is due to him. Rather as others have said, the OL In any case, it MIGHT be that a light turned on for Martinez too, due to the peal and chime of a bell or not, He has taught the DBs to look for the ball. That is, if the Bama game is any indication. Certainly, the DBs demonstrate very much improvement. May it continue. I wonder if his single year contract served as motivation? Whatever, glad to see the guys making the defense as good as it is.
