This isn't the first game I've noticed that Nico for some reason refused to gouge the defense with his legs. There have been multiple opportunities for huge gains on the ground if the QB runs with it even the announcers tonight noticed it.

Is Heupel putting the reigns on Nico and not letting him in harms way? I don't understand because I feel Nico could have taken this game over with his legs.

Is it just me?

He 100% could have, he also missed throws and was throwing low all game, it got Squirrel hurt. It's simple, Nico is not ready, he needs to sit and watch Gaston moore.. who YES is not as talented but does the little things faster that win you games.

Nico can’t run. Get used to it
His very first run tonight, the D lineman was engaged with an O lineman and there was nobody at all to beat. Just run left or right but instead Nico ran right to the D lineman. Gets tackled and our whole living room went silent. We all were thinking the same thing but mostly just dumbfounded

Nico feasted on lesser talent in the beginning of the year. Now well.....

His not running is my biggest concern. They obviously aren’t calling any designed runs. I suppose it’s because there is a huge drop off with our backup although many in here don’t think so.

Forget the designed runs. What about the broken plays when he has 20 yards of free grass ahead of him.

I swear it's almost like Heupel wont let him run. We could have won this game is Nico puts the offenae on his back and scrambles more.

Feasted??

314 yards 3 TDs
211 yards 2 TDs 2 INTs
173 yards 1 TD
193 yards 1 TD

That’s what you call feasting???
I only count the first 2. But maybe I should only count the 1. He sits in the pocket too long he could win a lot of games with his legs but when he does run he looks so slow.

Why didn't Nico just attempt to throw the ball on those final seconds! It may be a TD or a penalty! Terrible game played by us, terrible loss!

"Let me put the reigns on my QB when we're about to lose to an unranked SEC team and see what happens. Trust me bro."

Kind regards,

He had a first down with 8 sec left in 2Q and 30 yards of an open hole. 0 defender anywhere. He instead greeds a 20% chance pass where he throws just an extra 3 yards than where he would have ended running. And took the same amount of time off the clock.

He had so many opportunities to get a first down with his legs tonight, and didn't even move in the pocket until it was actively collapsing.

It was painful to watch.
