2 of the 4 #1 seeds from last year are in this. I thought they would turn down the invite because of their overall showing.

First time ever two Final Four teams end up in the NIT the following year, no?

Damn... no love for Marshall from the NIT committee.

CIT here we come... at least we get paid for 3 guaranteed home games ($30,000/game) instead of buying them (for $60,000/game) like you have to do for the CBI.

The NIT does seem a bit better after they streamlined it a bit and cut the number of teams.

Don't know. see that tourney as playing rec ball when you didn't make varsity.

It provides bball during the Mondays-Wednesdays before the tournament. There look to be some halfway decent second round match-ups. I'll watch Memphis State/Ole Miss on a Monday night and Cinnci/Dayton would have some local flair anyway.

Glad someone got smart and finally started trying to keep good teams in until the end instead of matching them up in first round games. Typically by the end the good teams are enough over their perceived snubs to be playing decent ball.

UNC and Miss St was a great game.

VT and UCONN should be just as good.

Miss St has had such bad luck all year. they lose on a banked in 3 and a left handed prayer floater over vanardo.

How did UNC get into the NIT? Must be simply about money...

or respect. They seem to be playing like they deserved to be there. Who is your favorite team? That sounded like a jealous statement. Im sorry how good we have been over the past 5 years has made you feel that way. I will take a NIT year any day after a National Championship season. :peace2:
