I would say it is more loyalty than maturity.

The fact that she is so loyal is a commentary on her maturity. If you read the entire article you can see that the fact she is staying with Pat is not the full indication of her maturity. The manner in which she communicated her loyalty was mature beyond her years.:salute:

“The first thing on my mind was never to de-commit. If anything I thought I needed to stand by her side and support her through everything she is going through"

a great young lady for sure

You are all missing the bigger point here. Yes, it's wonderful that this prospect is sticking with her commitment--but she had committed to UT and PS, and that obviously made a difference. Moving forward, Summitt's condition and her future is going to be an issue--a negative issue. UT will lose recruits it might otherwise have gotten because of uncertainty about who, really, is running the program, Summitt or her assistants--and because she almost certainly be around in four years. That means that players who are high-school juniors and seniors now will not be coached by her for their full collegiate career. That will work against UT, obviously, as few prospects will want to commit to a coach who is not going to see them through the next four+ years. Going year to year with PS may be good for her, but it is not going to help the program. Let's be clear about that. Are you, a top prospect, going to pick UT, with all the uncertainty about PS's condition, or dare I say it, connecticut, where you know that geno will be coaching indefinitely. That will be a problem.
