The fourth-ranked Lady Vols survived a tough test to defeat Rugers, 68-54, on Sunday afternoon in the Maggie Dixon Classic in Madison Square Garden.

Rutgers gave the Lady Vols all they wanted in the second half pulling to a one point game. Stricklen and Johnson of course had a good game to pull back out ahead and finish the game. I was really impresswed with Johnson as she played almost the entire second half in foul trouble. I think this team is more focused than the team of year ago.

No way did Rutgers give TN all they wanted! No Way!!
They got close once, but then it was all over. Rutgers ran out of gas the last 6-7 minutes.

I don't think today's performance scared Geno very much.

I agree! Today the girls did not take care of the ball. Way to many turn-overs. Now the team that played Texas......well they turned out the lights. I look for this team to go to the elite eight if not the final four or the NC game. They are focused!

Pat has this team focused and playing well. Outside shot at #9 this year.

We'll know a lot more about how good this team really is next week. They play at #2 Stanford on the 19th.

UCONN is still the heavy favorite to win it all until I see someone prove otherwise.

Will be a tall order for any team to beat uconn this year.....again.

They only lost 1 player off of a team that went 39-0 and won every game by double digits. If they get past Stanford on the 23rd, they could run the table again.
