i know nothing is solid and she has denied the rumors.

but comeon there is too much money wating for her not too.

she would automatically be in the top 5 in popularity. and if she actually could be competitive then the sky is the limit.

how now brown cow???

Maybe she could take Bobby Labonte's spot, he drives like a girl anyway.

I personally don't think she will go to Nascar. I think she's just using it as leverage to get a better deal with Rahal. She has said several times that she just dosen't want to run the long schedule like Nascar runs. She prefers the shorter schedule that they have in the IRL. She is bartering for 1) cars that can actually compete. Rahal Letterman is pathetic, and 2) possibly more money.

I could be wrong, and she may actually make the jump. Quite honestly, I have mixed feelings about the possibility of Danica running Nascar. The thing is though, Nascar is going to make her run at least 1 or 2 years in the truck or Busch series before she will be able to run in Nextel Cup. She's already in the elite series in open wheel, so it would actually be a step down, with no guarntee that she would ever make it to Cup.

yes she would have to run the busch series, but the first year she can enter a number of superspeedways in the cup.

i dont think the stock car is a good fit for a woman but she could be the richest of all these guys. her endorsements would be crazy.

i say roush or dei or childress are her only fits. and dei to me would be the way to go. jr teammates with this hot little firecracker. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

to secure the financial lives of her loved ones, nascar is the choice. she will never win crap in indy. and the money is crumbs compared to nascar.

She runs around in the middle to the back of the pack in a dwindling series now, she might as well do it in the biggest racing series in the country and make all kinds of money from merchandising.

Obviously there is no question someone would give her a ride... Kerry Earnhardt gets a frickin' ride every now and then for cripes' sake.

She could possibly drive for DEI or RCR. Either one would be a pretty good fit. I can't see her driving for Roush. He already has 5 cars, which is one more than he's supposed to have, so he'd have to get rid of one of his drivers first, and I don't see it anytime soon. There was a rumor last year that Hendrick was interested, but he's in the same boat as Roush, he dosen't have an open ride, and probably wont for awhile.

I'm all for it if that's the route she decides to go. It goes without saying that I'm along for the ride no matter where she's driving. I still think her best chance at actually winning is in indy cars though.

RCR was looking at Sarah Fisher a couple years ago. She ran a few West Series races under their watch... I assume that never panned out, haven't heard anything about it lately.

I could actually see her at Roush before any of the other top teams... the 6 is open as soon as Martin FINALLY retires, if ever, plus I don't see McMurray hanging around in the 26 much longer if he doesn't pick it up.

I'm not sure what happened to Sarah. I don't even think she's racing this year.

You make a good point on Roush. With Martin "retiring", and the 26 not running up to par, there could be a ride open, of course it looks like he may be thinking about moving Kluver (sp) up to cup sometime. Then again, Roush can always find a way around the 4 team rule if he really wants to.

Oh yah, definitely. I've heard rumors that Mark Martin is planning on buying out or partnering with Rober Yates, so there's 2more slots for Roush... plus that little Boris Said venture in that 60 car... there's 8 Roush cars right there.

Well according to Speed TV Danica has been offered a Nascar contract that money wise no IRL team would be able to beat. The popular choice is Roush or RCR but I wouldn't rule out Ganassi or Red Bull. Maybe she'll come to the #6 and Viagera will again be the sponsor? Viagera, racing and Danica....does it get any better? :)

According to a local tv station here in Indiana she's about to sign with Andretti's IRL team.

I hope so! :cross: Those guys were dominant last year, and I think they have a much better chance of getting back to being a contender than RLR.
